Not to be confused with Festive Tree, or other variants of the tree.

Trees are very common Obstacles in surviv.io, having several variants that usually only appear in events. There is a crate variant of the tree that drops loot, which is called the tree cache, which usually drops a Mosin-Nagant with a few other supplies.

Strategies[]

  • Overlapping trees serve as excellent cover because, unlike Bushes, the player is nearly invisible. Furthermore, certain skins, like Woodland Combat and Forest Camo, blend a bit with trees.
    • If you are being chased by a more powerful enemy and a set of overlapping trees are close by, your best shot at staying alive is to hide in the trees and wait for the opponent to move along.
  • You are almost completely invisible under a tree with a Ghillie Suit even if it is only one layer.
  • Put some good loot outside of some overlapping trees, hiding, and when an unsuspecting enemy looking for good loot comes by, ambush them and kill them.
  • In the event maps, Tree Caches are usually easier to find because they do not change in appearance except in Savannah, so be on the lookout for them.
  • A lot of players, especially inexperienced ones, duck into overlapping trees to hide or heal. They make ideal places to plant mines because players won't know that they're there until they explode. Always put a few down so that the player will die instead of just getting injured. Also, you can check to see if anyone is hiding in them by shooting a few rounds through them. If the bullets go through, there's no one there. If they don't, keep firing.

Trivia[]

  • Except for the Tree Cache and the Logging variants, the only way you can get loot from a tree is to have the Scavenger or Master Scavenger Perk.
  • The Tree Cache is the only way to get the Mosin-Nagant in the Woods Map.

Two QBB-97s from the Logging Orange Tree, which is a very rare occurrence.
