Containers are small, indestructible rectangular Buildings that reflect bullets. It was added in the v0.1.7 update "Check your corners!"

Information[]

There are four types of containers:

  • Blue containers: These containers have either one entrance (darker shade of blue) or two entrances (lighter shade of blue) and they spawn with loot. They may spawn independently on the map or on the docks.
    • Blue containers with one opening may have a hole on the roof, which allows you to see a little of the loot inside.
  • Red containers: These containers only spawn on the docks. They are empty and cannot be entered. They are for cosmetic purposes.
  • Gold containers: These containers have a 1/26 chance of replacing a Blue Container at the docks. They have one opening and are guaranteed to contain the SV-98, along with 20 blue ammo and a scope (4x, 8x, or rarely 15x). If a golden container spawns in-game, the container will NOT appear golden on the minimap, it will appear like a normal blue container, which means one has to hunt it down to find where the gold container is.
  • Grey containers: These containers spawn as part of the Conch Bunker. The end facing away from the sea will have an opening and the other end will have stairs leading to the bunker itself. The stairs end will have roots that expand from the container. (The roots can identify the grey containers from other containers more easily.)

Loot[]

  • Anything from Tier Container can be found in a container
  • Gold containers contain the SV-98, along with 20 rounds of 7.62mm and a 4x or 8x, and even rarely, the 15x scope.

Strategies[]

  • When observing a "one-way" container with a hole in it, take the time to enter it completely, instead of judging it by what can be seen in the hole. (You might see a 2x scope, but there might be a 4x scope just out of sight)
  • Hiding inside a blue or gold container is an extremely bad idea, as your opponent can shoot through the opening(s) and easily kill you with ricochets.
    • Hiding inside a gold container is the worst (unless you are trolling) since everyone wants an SV-98 and a great scope, and therefore will rush to the gold container, finding you and killing you.
      • Using Mines are a much better idea, as they can explode any unsuspecting survivr hunting for the SV-98.
    • However, hiding behind a one-way container is a good idea, as it is indestructible and large enough to run around if being chased.
  • Hiding behind the red containers is an excellent idea since no one can enter them and your opponents will be forced to chase around the building.

Trivia[]

  • There was a bug where Jester's Folly could rarely spawn in a container.
  • A glitch was found where if a player enters one of the Grey Containers, both of their interiors can be seen.
  • Grey containers themselves don't contain any loot, as they lead to the Conch Bunker which contains the loot.
  • In 50v50 you can even find glitched containers in the blue side of River Town that you can squeeze between and become hard to hit.
  • There is a extremely rare chance that a blue container can have a SV-98.
